I have worked as a dietitian for the past 22 years, and have specialised in the field of diabetes for the past 17 years. I am an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialed Diabetes Educator. I work as a Senior Dietitian at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital where I provide dietary advice to patients with Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. I am also doing a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle - researching the impact of maternal weight gain on glycaemic control, insulin requirements and neonatal outcomes in Gestational Diabetes Mellitus. I am also the NSW Convenor of the Dietitians Association of Australia Diabetes Special Interest Group.
